The paint booth was open and with all that exposed metal it was becoming a problem keeping the rust off...so we put a good coat of primer on it to seal it up!

Can't believe how good it looks...I know...it's a Barney Mobile but that won't last long!

This is the right Cowl and Firewall area...nice and smooooooth!

 Right Quarter...very few dings...NICE!!!

This is what has taken up the majority of my time.  I cut out the rear tail light panel because of damage and to expose the lower rear quarter panels that are ate up with rust!

You can also see the finished product on the rear window channel replacement...(In Black)

You are looking into the right rear trunk area...and those light spots in the middle are HOLES from the rust!

This is the same location on the other side...more rust through holes

 Looking GOOD!

Nice to see the product of all my efforts in stripping this car down to the bare metal...going to look real nice when we put the colors on!

At the Body Shop July 2012

This is where my baby lives everyday now...
I will post updates at the end of each week so you can see the progress

You can see my handy work on the frame and rear axle

The rt quarter panel is 95% down to the metal now with only a bit of rust to cut out

The rocker panels were actually the first thing I sanded since this is typically the worse area for rust on the car....and what to do you know...ZERO rust!  Yippeee

This is the before picture...I actually cleaned the rest off today

 Lft rear quarter panel

The entire roof has been sanded to the metal with zero rust...nice

Did discover that the seams were seal with lead so we will have to grind that out and replace with seam sealer

Sanded the entire deck lid and it is good to go!

Now there is a clean quarter panel

a little dusty but that front end is gonna be nice

The first of many mods to the car...I have removed the trim and welded the holes over then ground them down...Rick actually did the welding..I hope to get my hands on that part for the other quarter panel

Here are some more trim holes that were filled on the rear deck panel

Finally got the rear diff back and installed it using QA1 trailing arms...looks nice...complete rebuild, new races, bearing, shims, 3.55 gear and performance axels from JEGS...

continuing the install...

Nice view of the car...not much left before putting it back to the body

And FINISHED!  man the looks GREAT!

Finished the 4 wheel disc brakes...looking good...this should stop on a DIME!

11" Discs w/ Black powder coated calipers...

 Same for the rear brakes..

Finished running the new fuel and brake lines...

 COMPLETELY FINISHED!

Now to just slide that frame back under the body and off to the Body Shop

I put the frame and body back together on Sunday night after church 15 July 12
The car is now at the body shop and I will start the depainting/sanding process...more pics to come!
Shoot for first RIDE the week of Thanksgiving...kinda fitting...
