Took the Velle out for a lil stroll today for the first time in over a year...gave her a bath so we could finish prep for the bed liner to go into the trunk...

What we did was mask off the trunk and sprayed the bed liner on the upper portion of the rear deck and quarter panels...once it drys I will final sand the bottom of the trunk and then we will complete the bedliner over the lower portion completely sealing the trunk...NO MO RUST!  EVER!
I will add pictures of the final product next week...
The last panel to weld into place was the tail light panel...here is the prep work of sanding and priming the area for the new panel

A look at the right side

Here is the finished product...we grinded and put filler over the welds to make a smooth appearance...
And a look at the left side...

 The final product...

Installed the deck lid and the fit and finish was nearly perfect...added a shim and then everything lined up perfectly...I was quite amazed that it hooked up after the first try I hope I am that lucky with the rest of the new body panels...

We put 2 coats of filler over the new panels and sanded them down...one more and we should be ready for paint in that area...this is the passenger side quarter panel....

And the Driver's side quarter panel...
 Here is a picture of the 69 Donor Chevelle...a 396 w/ A/C....

The damage to the donor...rt frt fender, hood, everything and....

 The entire rearend was smashed...ugh!

The last bit of rust was found and cut out...this is the left inner wheel well...

Expanded view of the left wheel well before we...

Put a coat of bedliner to seal it and ensure that this doesn't happen again...sorry I did not have final pictures of the new sheetmetal we put in place of the cut out rust...

Now the finished product...that took 2 pieces...the upper wheel opening and lower rocker panel
